I use three healing methods in my work: EFT, Reiki and guided healing
EFT or TappingAs an EFT practitioner I tap on acupuncture points to activate them. EFT can be used directly on the animal, by tapping on oneself (surrogate tapping) or even remotely using surrogate tapping.
If an animal needs frequent sessions of EFT it is quite easy via a Skype consultation, for the animal's guardian to learn to do EFT for their animal. In general, EFT works very rapidly and sometimes one session is enough. EFT can be used to treat mental, emotional or physical symptoms. For example, I've used EFT to help with a dog who kept threatening her housemate so that they now get on well together, a horse who had a problem with his bit and to help a cat who was in pain. |
ReikiReiki is an ancient form of 'energy' healing also known as hands on healing. As with EFT I can give Reiki to an animal directly or I can send the energy remotely.
There are many Reiki masters teaching the first degree of Reiki. By attending this level an animal carer is able to give Reiki to their animals themselves, so if your animal needs a lot of healing work this is a good option. Reiki can be used to work on any issue with an animal, whether mental, emotional or physical. It is very helpful for pain management and to bring relaxation and relief from stress. |
Guided HealingThis is a form of 'energy' healing too but in this case I connect with the animal then, in effect, scan them for any dis-ease they may have.
When I do this I experience the same sensation as the animal so if it has a sore leg I will feel that pain. I then choose the healing method by allowing myself to be guided to the best way of working for that particular animal and it's specific complaints. This method can be used to help with behavioural issues that come from ill treatment or neglect as well as physical ailments |
